Lukas Budzel, 23, was found with more than 10 pounds of controlled dangerous substances “related to the production, manufacturing, and distribution of narcotics,” as well as about $16,000 in cash following a search of his mother’s Franklin Borough home on Scott Road around 6 a.m. on Jan. 28, police said.

Numerous marijuana plants and psychedelic mushrooms were seized, NJHerald reports.

Budzel was charged with first-degree manufacturing CDS and several second-degree narcotics possession and distribution charges, police said.

His mother, meanwhile, was granted a temporary restraining order hours after his arrest on claims that her son had become verbally and physically abusive, according to the report, which cites assistant prosecutor Jerome Neidhardt.

Budzel was being held at Morris County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing and appearance in Sussex County Superior Court.

Sussex County Narcotics Task Force, Franklin Borough, Hardyston Township, Hopatcong Borough, New Jersey State Police, Sussex County Sheriff’s Office, and Vernon Township Police Departments also assisted with the month-long investigation.
